Biosketch
PhD in Physical Geography (Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning – IGOT, University of Lisbon). Master in Physical Geography and Spatial Planning; Degree in Geography (specialized in Cartography and GIS) by the University of Lisbon. Researcher at the Centre of Geographical Studies and member of the research group on Environmental Hazards and Risk Assessment and Management (RISKam). Lecturer, as a PhD candidate, in the Geography Department (Faculty of Arts, UL) and in IGOT-UL (2009-2012). Invited Assistant Professor in IGOT-UL (2015-2019) and Assistant Professor in The School of Science and Technology, University of Évora (since 2021). Member of the “Risks and Civil Protection” team during the revision of the Regional Plan for the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon. Member of the team working on “Risks and Climate Change” for the Territorial Development Plan of Mozambique. Researcher in the research project “BeSafeSlide—Landslide Early Warning soft technology prototype to improve community resilience and adaptation to environmental change (PTDC/GES-AMB/30052/2017)”, funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Portugal (FCT).
