Biosketch
Mauricio is graduated in geography – minor in cartography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and holds a master’s degree in GIS, both from the University of Lisbon. He is currently doing a PhD in Geography with a specialization in Geographic Information Sciences at the same institution, which is funded by a grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). His research focuses on spatiotemporal predictive modelling of disease vectors through GIS and machine learning methods.
