Biosketch
Marcela Sofia Santos Barata, graduated in Geography, with specialization in Human Geography (IGOT- UL, 2015 – 2018). In 2020, she finished a master degree in Geographic Information Systems and Territorial Modelling Applied to Planning (IGOT- UL), entitled ““Geographies” of primary healthcare access for older adults in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Portugal: a territory of diferences”.
In 2020-2021, she joined as a research fellow in the project “Grampcity: Towards more elderly-friendly mobility and accessibility in urban areas”.
She is currently doing her PhD in Geography (Urban Planning) and the title of her thesis is: “Planning the urban environment for healthy ageing”.
