As a CEG researcher, I have been a team member of research projects, especially in the areas of local and rural development and the involvement and integration of immigrants. This work has been combined with the functions of Assistant Professor at IGOT-ULisboa, coordinating and teaching curricular units (UC) at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in the areas of Economic and Social Geography, European Studies, Rural Geography, Regional and Local / Territorial Development and in the fields of methods and techniques, also guiding doctoral, post-doctoral and master’s work. Belonging to the Coordinating Board of the College of ULisboa Food, Farming and Forestry (F3) and, within F3, to the Scientific Board of the PhD in Sustainability Science, I have coordinated a UC. The research developed has also resulted from participation / involvement in civil society organizations: Animar and SPER, especially. More than a hundred published titles resulted from these aspects (books, chapters, reports, dictionary entries, articles in journals…).
