Biosketch

Geographer, Master in Development and Environment by the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE-Brazil) and PhD in Human Geography by the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon (IGOT-ULisboa), with the thesis: Health and Spatial Justice – The Geography of Emergency Services in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. She has been part of project teams that have intersected the themes of health and migration and housing and migration. She was a post-doctoral fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences (ULisboa). Currently she is Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Roraima-Brazil and Visiting Professor at the University Institute of Psychological, Social and Life Sciences (ISPA-Portugal). She is a collaborating researcher at the Centre for Geographical Studies (CEG-ULisboa) and the research group Social Movements and Urban Space (UFPE). She is co-coordinator of the scientific journal Social Movements and Spatial Dynamics at UFPE. She has developed work in the areas: International Migrations, Access to Health, Housing, Spatial (In)Justice and Vulnerabilities.
