Since 2008, works as a Research Assistant at the Agricultural Research and Rural Extension Company of Santa Catarina (Epagri/Brazil). Has experience in Geosciences, with emphasis on Topography/Geodesy, Cartography, Cartography for Web and Geographic Information Systems, working mainly on the following topics: remote sensing, orthorectification of images, geoprocessing, quality control of cartographic products, spatial analysis and map systems for the web. She is currently a PhD student in Geography, in Geographic Information Sciences at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon. Her research project is entitled: “Intelligent geographic-based model for the analysis of land use and land cover change”, and aims to present a model for the analysis of land use and land cover transformations, in order to subsidize land use planning policies in Santa Catarina, based on methods of geographic analysis and modeling combined with artificial neural networks.
