Biosketch
Jennifer McGarrigle holds a PhD in Urban Studies from the University of Glasgow, UK. She is a researcher in the Centre for Geographical Studies (CEG) and an Assistant Professor of Human Geography in the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT) at the Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. Her research interests cover international migration, migrant integration and urban change. She has collaborated on numerous national and internationally funded projects. She was Principal Investigator in the “Socio-spatial integration of Lisbon’s Religious Minorities,” funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and was part of the Portuguese team in the projects GEITONIES (2008-2011, EU FP7), THEMIS (2010-2014, NORFACE), Mobile Welfare (2015-2018, NORFACE) and Gearing Roles (2019-2022, EC H2020), to name a few. She has published in various journals such as the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Housing Studies, Finisterra, Social Inclusion and Tourism Geographies.
