Francisco Pires is, since September 2018, a PhD student at Institute of Geography and Territorial Planning, University of Lisbon. His research, supported by a scholarship from University of Lisbon, deals with the migration associated with football training at an early age.

Between 2014 and 2017, he tried to further develop his master’s thesys related to in game analysis, by seeking collaboration with local clubs, which allowed him a better understanding about the game.

In 2017 he collaborated with CIAUD, Faculty of Architectur, University of Lisbon, in the project “Mobility standards of Sintra 2017”.
