Biosketch

Cristina Gordo is a PhD student in Geography (IGOT-UL) since September 2018, specialization area in geographic information science. Since April 2021, she has been working as a GIS Specialist at Correios de Portugal, S.A. in the department of Regulation and Organization of Channels.
Graduated in Geography, specialization in Geographic Information Systems (IGOT-UL, 2015), and held a Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems and Modelling applied to Spatial Planning (IGOT-UL, 2017), with the dissertation “Modelação da suscetibilidade à rutura de movimentos de vertente: Ilha de São Miguel, Açores”.
In 2015, Cristina collaborated with Câmara Municipal de Lisboa in the elaboration of the “Atlas Social de Lisboa (2016)”, by conducting a study about the reality of the municipality of Lisbon on social and economic issues. Between 2016 and 2018 participated in all phases of “Estudos de Identificação da Reserva Ecológica Nacional e dos Riscos no concelho de Sobral de Monte Agraço” a project developed by RISKam – Environmental Hazard and Risk Assessment and Management, a research nucleus of Centre for Geographical Studies (CEG). In a professional context, she performed functions as a technical consultant of Geographic Information Systems at Esri Portugal (2017-2018) and at Advantis Solutions (2018-2019).
