Biosketch
He is currently a FCT-CEEC researcher at the Centre for Geographical Studies and member of the research group “Assessment and Management of Environmental Hazards and Risk” (RISKam). He was a researcher at CIBIO-InBIO, University of Porto (2017-2019), at IHMT, New University of Lisbon(2016-2017), at CE3, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon (2013-2015) and at the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenin, Bonn, Germany (2013-2017).
He has published >60 scientific papers in ISI/WoS journals and is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal Diversity and Distributions. He is principal investigator or core investigator in projects related to biogeographic change, biological invasions and risk mapping, real-time modelling of ecological and epidemiological dynamics.
