Resumo biográfico
Ana Gago has a degree in Architecture from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in Tourism and Communication from the School of Arts and Humanities, the Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril and the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Lisbon (inter-institutional course). In 2018, she completed her master’s thesis “Short-term rentals and tourist gentrification in Alfama, Lisbon” at IGOT-UL. She was a master’s fellow in the SMARTOUR project – Tourism, holiday rentals and rehabilitation: Smart urban policies for a sustainable future at the Center for Geography and Spatial Planning Studies at the University of Porto. She is currently developing her PhD research at IGOT-UL, funded by FCT, on the impact of tourism and short-term rentals on residential life in the cities of Porto and Lisbon.
