Biosketch
Biologist, researcher of the RISKam (Environmental Hazard and Risk Assessment and Management) group of the Centre for Geographical Studies. She was a researcher at the Global Health and Tropical Medicine (GHTM) – Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IHMT) (NOVA University of Lisbon), the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c) (University of Lisbon), the Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources (CIBIO-inBIO) (University of Porto), the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) (Halle/Jena/Leipzig, Germany). She focuses on modelling and predicting environmental change impacts and ecological dynamics. This includes integrating different types of models and information sources, aiming at reducing uncertainty and facilitating decision making. She covered areas such as epidemiology, the impacts of climate change and of land use change, and citizen science.
