Biosketch
Alfredo Dias Gomes (Lisbon, 1958).
As a teacher developed his professional activity in São Tomé and Principe, Congo (Kinshasa) and Portugal.
In the presente he is Assistant Professor at the Training Teacher College of Lisbon of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, where he teaches since 1999, and researcher at the Centre for Geographical Studies. It develops research on Macau Modern History since 1986.
Received a scholarship from the Orient Foundation (1992-1995; 1996-1999) and from Cultural Institute of Macau (2012-2013).
Several communications and conferences in Lisbon and Macau, about the Portuguese presence in Macau in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
