The II Luso-Brazilian Colloquium of Theory and History of Geography took place from November 6 to 8 at the University of Brasília (UoB) and the Portuguese Embassy in Brasília. The inaugural session was presided by the Portuguese Ambassador in Brasil and the UoB’s Magnificent Dean.
This colloquium was organized in tandem by the Centre of Geographical Studies (CEG) at the University of Lisbon (IGOT-ULisboa) and by the Geography Department at the UoB. There were more than 40 addresses, six of which were delivered by CEG’s researchers. The inaugural addresses were uttered by CEG’s Emeritus Professor Teresa Barata-Salgueiro (IGOT-ULisboa) and by UoB’s Professor Aldo Paviani.
