The launch of the new “Universidade de Lisboa’s Colleges” – which took place on March 6, at the Salão Nobre of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon – had the objective of presenting this initiative, which has the support of the Centre of Geographical Studies (CEG) and IGOT-Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning unite, to the public.
The College of Polar Sciences and Extreme Environments (POLAR2E) has the scientific coordination of researcher and professor Gonçalo Vieira (CEG-IGOT), in collaboration with FCUL and IST, and focuses on a thematic area of great relevance, acknowledging one of today’s great challenges. The Tropical College (CTROP) was also presented – IGOT is a partner with nine other schools at the University of Lisbon.
