Ing. Angeliki Peponi is currently Ph.D. student in Geography, area of specialization Urban and Regional Planning at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning, University of Lisbon, Portugal and also a Ph.D. student in Applied and Landscape Ecology at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Czechia. She studied coastal paleogeography and coastal urban systems and currently, she has turned her research focus on smarter and regenerative urban growth using metrics, measures, and cutting edge geo-technologies, adopting a people and nature-oriented approach in order to address the challenges of the increased urban areas. She is member of the Hellenic Geographical Society.
